Recognizing and honoring our servicemen and women
Sunday, November 11 was Veteran’s Day, and Monday was the observance of Veteran’s Day as our surroundings recognized and honored our servicemen and women. Today we want to share some of the highlights from Monday’s Veteran’s Day service on the Green. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was Captain Frank Yungwirth. Chaplain James Truax opened the service with a prayer. The Wellsboro Men’s Chorus performed a variety of songs in honor of our veterans, with accompaniment from Pat Davis.
This year’s guest speaker was newly elected PA State Representative Clint Owlett, who was followed by statements from County Commissioner, Roger Bunn and Colonel Eldon Cummings.
There was a moment of silence as taps was played in recognition of our fallen veterans.
Chaplain Truax and Captain Yungwirth concluded the service. Be sure to watch the video feature above for highlights from the service.
Home Page would like to thank all of our servicemen and women for all they have done and continue to do for our country.
