In the Class AA boys race, Milton won with 60 places and Lewisburg was 2nd with 71. Athens’ Camden Allen (17:55) qualified for states with a 14th place finish and CV’s Madden Doud (17:56) finished in 15th in 17:56 to make the state cut.

“We really ran well,” said North Penn-Mansfield head coach Jason Fletcher. “I think out of 12 teams in the girls race we came in 7th and Lyndsey came in 6th and was 1 off going to states. Its a disappointment, she taking it well, but she has a really position attitude. She’s already looking ahead to the track season and thinking about the off-season in between.”

Wellsboro head coach Ron Brought was also pleased with his team’s performance.

“We had a really strong day. The conditions are less than favorable but they ended the season well. Both teams ran better than expected, finished well within the NTL placings, but there was some great competition today as well.”

The PIAA Championships will take place in Hershey on Saturday, November 5th.
