Help us aid the Humble Bumble Project this Giving Tuesday!
Today’s broadcast is in memory of a very special member of our community, Paige Griffin.
In October of 2016, Paige was diagnosed with a type of soft tissue cancer known as undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS), formerly referred to as malignant fibrous histiocytoma. Despite this devastating diagnosis, Paige’s positive outlook and genuine love for others has inspired and uplifted those around her for the past two years.
“She constantly puts everyone before herself, especially her dad and me,” said her mother, Michele. “Her strength and spirit make me strive to be a better person every day.”
It was this passion for helping others that led Paige to create The Humble Bumble Project, a nonprofit charitable organization to help other families in need. Paige and her family received so much support during this difficult time, and seeing this overwhelming amount of love inspired them to pay it forward. The mission of The Humble Bumble Project is to alleviate even the slightest amount of financial burden faced by pediatric and young adult cancer families, so that parents and caregivers can focus on family rather than finances.
The following statements were made by Paige’s parents:
“A cancer diagnosis is a very humbling experience. Humbling to realize just how fragile life is. Humbling to entrust your child’s life to strangers. Humbling to accept help, financially or otherwise. Humbling to receive unconditional love and support from family, friends, and even strangers. Humbling to discover that no one fights alone.”
On Movin’ Together, we believe very strongly in that statement – no one fights alone. It is our mission to encourage each other through every situation, to keep moving through this journey called life. We focus on building each other up, and we strive to show others that they will never walk alone. On this Giving Tuesday, we encourage you, our Home Page viewers, to donate to The Humble Bumble project to help families who are struggling with a cancer diagnosis. Let’s come together as a community to show them that no one fights alone.
In honor of Giving Tuesday, Facebook and Paypal are matching donations up to $7 million. Click here to donate to The Humble Bumble Project to make a difference in someone’s life. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and compassion. God bless you.

Paige Nicole Griffin of Middlebury Center, PA died at home on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was 22 years old. Paige was born on September 30, 1996 to Chad and Michele Griffin. She was an exceptional young woman who valued her loved ones and community. Paige was an accomplished artist, a talented violinist, an expert ice cream scooper, and a dedicated Girl Scout. She loved to write stories of adventures almost as much as she loved to have them. Paige was determined to live her life with as much authenticity and joy as possible and in that, she succeeded. Throughout her cancer diagnosis, she remained the ray of sunshine she always was and handled each obstacle with quiet grace and humility. Paige had many things she wanted to do in this life, from learning to throw knives to changing the world. Paige certainly changed the worlds of her loved ones—anyone who met her knew she was someone special.
Paige is survived by her parents Chad and Michele Griffin (Middlebury Center, PA); her paternal grandfather Darryel Griffin (Little Marsh, PA); her maternal grandfather John “Skip” Fisher (Bloomsburg, PA); her sister Camilla Sossi (Trieste, Italy); her aunts and uncles Penny and Frank Button (Middlebury Center, PA) and Nikki and Karl Schauer (Little Marsh, PA); her cousins Brayden and Tanner Button and Courtney and Kayla Schauer, as well as her ‘fur siblings’ Monroe, Mara, Zoey, and Willow. Paige is predeceased by her paternal grandmother Sharon Griffin (8/14/2016) and her maternal grandmother Jacqueline Fisher (6/13/2016).
